This classic comedy opens in the apartment of Oscar Madison and if the mess is any indication, it’s no wonder that his wife left him. Arriving on the scene is Felix Unger, fastidious, tense and suicidal, who has just been separated from his wife. As the action unfolds, Oscar the slob decides to room with neat-nik Felix with hilarious results! Winner of the 1965 Tony Award, this story has entertained generations ever since in film and television shows.

Tickets are $18.00 (includes tax) for Adults.
Senior Citizens (over 65 years old) and College Students with a valid College ID are $15.00 (includes tax)
Reservations are suggested for all productions as seating is limited. Call 816-406-9422.
Leave a message with your name, phone number and the number of people in your party. We will confirm your reservation in a timely manner. All reservations must be made before 3 pm on the day of the performance on Friday and Saturday.
All reservations must be made for Sunday matinees by 5 pm the night before.
A single ticket for 4 individual shows can be purchased for $55.00.
Our Venue
The stage at the Old City Hall of Belton is a hidden gem of the city. In 1906 the building was created as a City Hall, the stage was used for school programs, graduations, and musical recitals. In the 1930s, it became the home of The Grace Company, a children’s clothing factory. Later it would house a movie theater, then a library and the city offices. At one time the fire department and its trucks located there as did the police department under the stage complete with jail cells. The building nearly met its demise in 1974 when the new city hall was constructed next door. The building was slated for demolition. In 1976 many joined the effort to develop a plan to preserve Belton’s history. It was not long before the building was transformed into a museum in the front half of the building and a public meeting room in the back portion.
Main Street Theater, LLC is thrilled to bring the stage back to life so future generations can enjoy the original use of the space! The building is owned by the City of Belton and is managed by Belton Community Projects, Inc. We are indebted to the city for permitting us to use this historic theater and to the members of BCPI for all their help in making our dream come true.
Our Dream
Main Street Theater, LLC provides live entertainment using the gifts and talents of local performing artists. Our dream is a collaborative and cooperative endeavor with all areas of theater arts working together appreciating all that each person has to offer. While the actors are the most acclaimed in any theatrical production, we hope to provide visibility for the behind- the-scenes artists. From technical work of computer technology, lighting and sound to the backstage support team, costumers, properties, and stage management, all artists will be recognized and respected.
